Applied Innovation Portfolio of Services
Monitor Networks designs, recruits, launches and manages networks that spark business innovation through constructive insights. For any given client, we may call on one or a mix of these networks; it all depends on the area(s) of corporate interest.
Our network services all share a three-part philosophy:
- Start with a diverse set of perspectives.
- Arrange interactions that combine these perspectives in new ways.
- Create a feedback process that eliminates the merely novel and selects the valuable.
The source of diversity, combination processes and feedback loops all vary depending on the specific client need. Some examples are shown in the table below.
- Rapid Prototype Process Networks
Cross-disciplinary, agile networks that identify and create a new product/service prototype in a compressed timeframe. Often involves an internal expert network meeting with an external one.
- Advisory Boards
Diverse networks of external practitioners and experts who can provide unique insights around a specific topic, issue, function or business initiative.
- Sensor Networks
Broad, sometimes global, networks whose members interact to identify trends and emerging issues. Usually includes an online component.
- Peer Network Forums
Cross-industry collaboratives that bring together senior executives from similar functions to share insights, ideas and best practices.
- Supply Chain Networks
Communities acknowledging non-linearity and interdependence in the relationships between suppliers, producers, distributors, retailers and consumers.
- Internal Networks
Key people within the company, often from different business units or with different functions, that come together around a subject or problem to share ideas, find solutions and build innovations.
- User Networks
Communities of end users, customers or "influencers" who provide input on product/service extensions, enhancements and innovations.
- Events and Experiences
One-time events/experiences built around dynamic interactions, such as "rapid prototype" simulations, emerging-issue formulation and debates, and workshops. We can also help create temporary or permanent physical work environments where these can take place.
